How I made this card?

This time I made a card with matching envelope. For this I picked out a cute design and worked with patterned paper. I made a mistake when assembling the envelope, I glued the patterned paper tightly, in the process you should only glue the upper part, so that it still has a little movement and can thus open and close better. But it does not matter when I send this card , you will open it mostly on top and you do not see it anymore. 

Wie habe ich diese Karte gemacht?

Dieses Mal habe ich eine Karte mit passenden Umschlag gemacht. Dazu habe ich ein niedliches Design herausgesucht und mit gemusterten Papier gearbeitet. Ich habe beim Zusammensetzen des Umschlages einen Fehler gemacht, ich habe das gemusterte Papier fest angeklebt, dabei sollte man nur den oberen Teil festkleben, damit es noch ein wenig Bewegung hat und so besser öffnen und schliessen kann. Aber es macht nichts, wenn ich diese karte versende , wird man diese meist oben öffnen und man sieht es nicht mehr.

How I made this card?

An hourglass as a die cut is something quite extraordinary and I have long thought about what kind of content this should have. Only sand, I do not know, this seemed a little boring.... A few attempts later I decided to create a cheerful card with flowers and butterflies. Is not typical, but I think as an artist sometimes you have a different eye. Anyway, I hope you like this idea. Feel free to write me in the comments what you think should still be crafted with this die cut, maybe I'll take your idea and share your name.... Well, desire? I look forward to your response.

Wie habe ich diese Karte gemacht?

Eine Sanduhr als Stanze ist etwas ganz aussergewöhnliches und ich habe lange überlegt, was für einen Inhalt diese haben sollte. Nur Sand, ich weiss, nicht, dies wirkte ein wenig langweilig... Ein paar Versuche später habe ich mich entschieden doch eine fröhliche Karte zu gestalten mit Blumen und Schmetterlingen. Ist zwar nicht typisch, aber ich denke, als Künstler hat man manchmal auch ein anderes Auge. Ich jedenfalls hoffe, dass Euch die Idee gefällt. Gerne könnt ihr mir in die Kommentare schreiben, was Eurer Meinung nach noch mit dieser Stanze gewerkelt werden sollte, vielleicht übernehme ich dann Eure Idee und teile Euren Namen... Na, Lust? Freu mich auf Eure Antwort.

How I made this card?

First, I die cut the die with a glittery paper. After that I all thought that it would be a shame to trash the scraps, so I decided to glue them to a card. To make sure no part is lost, I used Press'n Seal Paper (unfortunately this is not available in Europe). One side is very slightly sticky, so the pieces stay stuck. Alternatively, you can also take removable adhesive tape.  After die cutting through the Big Shot, I first turned the "sandwich" and then applied the foil. A bit of pressure and the parts are secured in this way. Now I can design the card.

It is best to take a base, which is magnetic. On it you put the card base and the cut out frame, which you fix with magnets. Now the parts are inserted little by little, a bit of glue on the back, so that it holds. This is very relaxing work and takes a little time. But you should be careful not to use too much glue. After you are done, you remove the frame. Now I have a negative background that looks incredibly cool. This alone can be used on its own as a card. I wanted to show something in addition, so I decided to use the butterfly. This I show in a contrasting color. So that this comes into the spotlight, I have between these and the background another circle punched out of Velum. So the background is visible, but not too dominant. Finally, a sentiment and finished this card. 

Wie habe ich diese Karte gemacht?

Zuerst habe ich die Stanze mit einem glitzerigen Papier gestanzt. Danach habe ich alle gedacht, dass es schade wäre die Reste zu verwerfen, darum habe ich mich entschieden, diese auf eine Karte zu kleben. Damit kein Teil verloren geht, habe ich Press'n Seal Paper verwendet (dies gibt es leider nicht in Europa). Die eine Seite ist ganz leicht klebrig, so dass die Teile kleben bleiben. Alternativ kann man auch wieder entfernbaren Klebestreifen nehmen.  Nach dem Stanzen durch die Big Shot, habe ich zuerst das "Sandwich" gedreht und dann die Folie aufgebracht. Kurz angedrückt und die Teile so gesichert. Nun kann ich die Karte gestalten.

Am besten nimmt man einen Untergrund, welcher magnetisch ist. Darauf legt man die Kartenbasis und den ausgestanzten Rahmen, welchen man mit Magneten befestigt. Nun werden die Teile nach und nach eingesetzt, ein wenig Kleber hinten drauf, damit es auch hält. Dies ist eine sehr entspannende Arbeit und dauert ein wenig. Man sollte aber darauf achten, nicht zu viel Kleber zu verwenden. Nachdem man fertig ist, entfernt man den Rahmen. Nun habe ich einen negativen Hintergrund, der wahnsinnig cool aussieht. Schon allein dieser kann allein als Karte verwendet werden. Ich wollte zusätzlich noch etwas zeigen, darum habe ich mich für den Schmetterling entschieden. Diesen zeige ich in einer Kontrastfarbe. Damit dieser zur Geltung kommt, habe ich zwischen diesen und den Hintergrund noch einen Kreis ausgestanzt aus Velum. So ist der Hintergrund erkennbar, aber nicht zu dominant. Zum Schluss noch ein Sentiment und fertig ist diese Karte.

Whimsy Stamps | Butterflies

This time I show you a card from a wonderful stamp set. I love the butterflies and they are perfect for a fast card or a card in no time.

How I made this cards?

I use two A2 card format (US size) in white. I filled the background with butterflies from the set. After stamping I color all with my glitter pen. for add a little effect, but it is optinal, if you have not enough time, you can skip this step. At last I used here my new word die Hello from my last my monthly hero set (Hero Arts). I love the value and the surprise. I cut the inner one in white and the border in black and add it with foam tape on my card. 

Finish, I told you it is fast and I love the effect.
