How to make a Box?  | Wie mache ich eine Box? 

How do you make a box? For this it is important to know how big I want the box to be. Originally I wanted to make a wider box, but I miscalculated here, that's what happens...

The lid is often a few millimeters larger than the bottom part of the box. 

Lid dimensions: 8.8cm x 12.9cm, add the edge of 3cm each to make a total size of 14.8x18.9cm, then fold the edge of 3 cm each. 

Bottom part dimensions: I do the same here, but subtract a good 2mm so that the lid fits well. The edge is slightly larger here, so the measurements are different. In my case, I work with a 5 cm edge. The size is now 18.6cm x22.7cm, fold each side at 5cm and the box is finished.

If you now have a die, it makes sense to die-cut it before assembling the box. I decided to glue in acetate foil (alternatively you can also use laminated foil). I used foam glue to create a gap to add shaker elements. I covered this with a patterned paper. 

Finally, decorate the box, put the gift inside and give it to someone... Then watch the other person's smile :)

Wie macht man eine Box? Hierfür ist es wichtig zu wissen, wie gross ich die Box wünsche. Ursprünglich hatte ich eine breitere Box machen wollen, do hier habe ich mich verrechnet, das passiert...

Der Deckel ist oft ein paar Millimeter grösser, als der Unterteil der Box. 

Deckel Masse:  8.8cm x 12.9cm, dazu den Rand rechnen von je 3cm macht eine Gesamtgrösse von 14.8x18.9cm, dann den Rand von je 3 cm falzen. 

Unterteil Masse: Das selbe mache ich hier, ziehe aber gut 2mm ab, damit der Deckel dann gut passt. Der Rand ist hier etwas grösser, deshalb sind die Masse hier anders. In meinem Fall arbeite ich mit 5cm Rand. Die Grösse ist nun 18.6cm x22.7cm, falze jede Seite bei 5cm und fertig ist die Box.

Wenn man nun eine Stanze hat, ist es sinnvoll, diese vor dem zusammen bauen der Box zu stanzen. Ich habe mich entschieden, Acetatfolie einzukleben (Alternativ kann man auch eine Laminierte Folie benutzen. Mit Schaumstoffkleber habe ich einen abstand gewerkelt, um Shaker Elemente hinzuzufügen. Abgedeckt habe ich dies mit einem gemusterten Papier. 

Zum Schluss die Box noch verzieren, das Geschenk hineintun und jemand verschenken... Dann beobachte das Lächeln des Gegenübers :)
