This time is the theme Sky....
It will be colder outside and in the mountain there is also snow... and in ca. 5 weeks Christmas is coming. You can card give away to family or friends... it is always a great gift idea. You can made a set of cards  or you can get a card with your gift... Most people have fun to get something DIY.
I am craft for my friends around the word too. It is so wonderful if they have JOY... this is also a gift for me back. Now I can't wait to see your projects.

Welcome to RELEASE Week at Whimsy

We have some amazing new stamps, sentiments and papers to share with you I really hope you will stop by and take look at the NEW RELEASES.

For my card I use the cute Snowflake Fairy Digital Stamp.

How I made this card?

At first I arrange my image on the paper in my Pages Programm. Than I print out to a pencil friendly paper. I use Neenah Paper. I cut my paper to a 4x 5,5 Inch rectangle. I use a mask to made the snow bank and distressed the background with my Tim Holtz Distress Oxide ink. I add a little vintage embossing powder on the sky. Now it is time for coloring the image and bring a little bit shadow under the image. At last I add a sentiment.

I prepare a card base A2 (US) and use pattern paper on the side of my card. I add the colored image on top and finished the card with a glitter pen to the wings.

Hope you like this magic card.

#83 Winter/ Weihnacht (Christmas)

I am craft for my friends around the word too. It is so wonderful if they have JOY... this is also a gift for me back. Now I can't wait to see your projects.

Dies ist meine Inspiration zum Thema.
This is my inspiration card to the theme.

How I made this card?

I use Sheena Paper A4 size and cut it at 4x11Inch, fold it at 5,5Inch. After I finished my card base I stamped the moon from Altenew "To the Moon" stamp set on my card. It is a great layering moon. I used the ink set "Pocket of Sunshine" also from Altenew. I masking the moon with masking paper and distress the background with "Squeezed Lemonade",  "Salty Ocean", "Chipped Saphire" and "black Soot" Distress Inks. I decided me to splatter a little silver and gold from my Gansai Tambi Starry Colors. For the snowbanks and the trees I used a die set from Moda Scrap called "Christmas Landscape" and distress this again with the lighter blue and a little bit of the yellow... because the moon glow. I stamped the little foxes on paper and color them with my Prismapencils, after than I cut it out and but all things together. I use my Glitterpen on the 4 big trees and the first snowbank... and finished the card with Santa (fox and santa are in the same set  from Lawn Fawn, called Winter Skies) and a sentiment from Hero Arts.

Whimsy Inspiration Post Polar Bear Christmas Tree

This time I share a super cute little bear, who decorate a Christmas tree...
He looks so proud about what he was doing and I think he can't wait to Christmas...

In my language you called the bear Eisbär, directly translated it means icebear... I think it was one of my mistakes I made, as I learned the English language...
Sometimes it isn't easy to learn a new language... The last I learned, that is not the same if I say in my language "Ich bin irritiert." (directly translated I am irritated), I learned I can only say this, if I am angry... I have to say I am confused, if I mean the German sentence (lol)...

So I hope you are not confused now...but please understand, if I made mistakes, please fell free to ask what I mean :)

The countdown runs... I am try to finish all my cards to send to my friends outside and I hope that they get the cards to the time.

Not sure yet, who get this super cute card.

BTW.... people ask me, what I do with my cards. At this time I give them away to friends (perfect for additional to a gift), sometimes ask people if I can made one or two cards and I sell them...
No at this time I haven't an account to sell my products. If you like a card, let me know what I can do for you :)

How I made this card?

At first I print out my image on a A4 (EU) cardstock and cut it smaller (4.25x5.5Inch) for coloring.... I colored the image with my pencils (Lumminace)... After than I wasn't sure, if I fuzzy cut or not... How you can see I decided me...

This time I use a A4 cardstock and cut it to 4x11Inch, I fold it at 5.5 Inch for my card base. I also take an sky paper from my stuff for the background and add the cute polar bear to the card.
At last I add a sentiment to the card and finished it.

Hope you like my card.

Thinking of you (SSS Wednesday Challenge)

I was writing about the monthly kit in my last post and why I am fall in love with this kits.

For a few day I get my November kit and there are whimsy stamps inside (YEAH),
I say just WOW :)
Wonderful colors, a beautiful stamp set and a cute die... also watercolors and cute watercolor paper preprinted (normally not my thing), but there are a few great images.

This time I think I want to made a few cards with this set. I am very busy, so I haven't time for videos right now, maybe I will made a few, if I find the time.
I began to craft... At first I tried the watercolors... It is a cheap set (I think so), but it works. The colors are not so creamy like the expansive one... I am surprised that the pigment in the colors looks great on black paper too.

It is definitely a watercolor kit you can use for cards...

Now my inspiration for the Wednesday challenge:

Thinking Of You

How I made my card?

I used the preprinted bear card and colored it with the watercolor set from the kit. Great bright colors... after dry I add some pencils and made pattern on the hat and the scarf, also a few shadow...
It is time for fuzzy cut out the image, because I want use an other sentiment and background.

I cut a white cardstock paper in 4.25x11Inch and folded it at 5.5 Inch to an A2 card base. For the sky I used Altenew Paper (they have a great sky set) I also cut a white border for the snow.

On the snow I stamped THINKING of YOU from an older SSS monthly kit, called "look for the Rainbow" and embossed this with golden embossing powder. I also add a sentiment from the same set, because I think it fits perfectly to the bear.

At last I glue the bear on my card an bring a little shadow under him.

This card plays with follow challenge:

I made a few more cards from the November Kit...

Here I used the deers (preprinted) and the birch from the stamp set, also the Hello sentiment.

This is a fast card, with the cute reindeer die. I used Christmas sentiments from an older stamp set I found in my stuff :)

Here I used again an preprinted scene and cut it out for an other background.

Now I wish you a wonderful week and I can't wait what you will have for inspirations.

Hugs Ute

Thank you (SSS Monday Challenge)

Do you know the wonderful monthly kits from Simon Say Stamps?
Every month there is a amazing kit and I can recommend it... If you ask me, what is your favorite kit this year, I can't say it... because there are so much amazing kits.

Ok, I am not paid for promotion...

Sometimes I think the postal way need to much time. I see people play with the kit and I am still waiting. The last months the delivery way was a little bit faster, than I know.

You know, you see crafty stuff and to wait for it to use is almost really long time, or?

Today I want to show a card from the October 2019 kit:

... I think it fits perfectly to the current challenge.

 Thanks/Thanksgiving

I decided me to use the big flowers and color them with the watercolors from the November Kit, but more about them in the next post.

How I made my card?

I stamped the flowers on watercolor paper and color them first with watercolors. After the image is dry I add some pencils to bring in more deepness. As I thought it looks great I cutting out the image with my scissor.

I cut a white paper in 4.25x 11Inch size and fold it at 5.5 Inch... So I have an A2 card base.
I add some golden color from my stuff to made small splatter on the card.
Than I decide to use the foam sticker for the word Thanks and a sentiment.

I add the flowers on the card and stamped a few dots around the flower. I thought a little bit more gold will be perfect, so I colored the dots after stamping with the same golden color.

I thank the SSS team for all the great kits from this year and I can't wait for more amazing kits.

I hope you like my inspiration for follow challenge:

Maybe I find again time for playing with challenges, like this :)

Wish you a wonderful new week and be thankful.

Whimsy Inspiration Blog Post Windy Day Cinnamon

A new inspiration... fall is here. Sometimes it is cold and windy... In the mountain there snow is coming. A new season begins. In a few week there is Christmas.

I am crafting still on my Christmas cards, but first I want to show you this beautiful woman... She is outside, feels the wind in the face and enjoy the fall time... blue sky, falling leaves, colorful forest, nature is changing and you can see it every day...

birds goes to warmer countries only a few will be still here over the winter time.

What for a wonderful time it is.

How I made this card?

At first I print the image (Windy Day Cinnamon) in a light grey color. After than I cute it in an rectangle, it was 4.25x5.5Inch. I decided me to color the woman first with my pencils (Lumminace) and after than I colored the background, I was inspired from Sandy Allnock... She is a great and stunning Artist . I think most of you are know she from the internet.

I cut the rectangle with a die cut from my stuff, now it measures 3.5x4.75Inch. I also cut a colorful ombre paper 3.75x5 Inch. Before I add the image I uses also a THANKS die from my stuff and cut the word out. I cut it again with a golden paper and put the golden word.

At first I add the image paper on the orange-yellow background and add the golden word inside, I use the wooden color between h/a/n/k and add it back to the card... I am not sure, if you understand, what I mean, not so easy to describe.

After finish I add all to a purple card base (A2 US format).

Now I wish you a wonderful fall time and a beautiful winter.

Hope you like my card.

#82 (Lieblings-) Tier/ (favorite) animal

Today starts a new Challenge by bastel-traum.blogspot.ch

This time we have the theme favorite animal/ animal... Ohhh... I love many animals, it is easier to say which one I don't like. I had trouble to decide which one I want to show... In September I was planning to our family vacation and I planed a whale watching trip.  On this trip we saw a lot of dolphins which I like also a lot and we had luck and saw a Minke whale, the women said, that they are rar to see. Which luck we had :) The whale was really shy... we saw that he rolled under water and his tail fin. Picture to made was really complicated.
What do you like? I cant't wait to see your inspiration.

Dies ist meine Inspiration zum Thema.

This is my inspiration card to the theme.

Whimsy Inspiration Post Reindeer Fart

Wow, time is running it is mid of October and it is time to  show the next Blog Post for me.

I use the funniest stamp I found in the current New Release, called Reindeer Fart, oops...

How I made this card?

I decided me for a CAS card design. This means that it is clean and simple. Only the stamp and a sentiment on the card, no other paper or special design. It is great for no time card making.
I printed the stamp and the sentiment on my paper (Sheena). Cut and fold it to the A2format (US). After than I colored the guy on the card with my Luminace Pencils.
...and finished it.

I can't wait to see your funny card with this reindeer :)

here can you find the stamp.

Whimsy Inspiration Blog Post Snowman Friends

Today I show you a special card. I must say it is my first Snow globe, I colored. I try this time the 3D optic with a glass ball...

How I made this card?

I am a member from Kit and Clowder class and so I get a free class between the monthly classes. In one where a snow globe and I use it here. I add the digital stamp into the glass ball :) For an better optic I choose opacity to reduce to 30%... So the image is now light grey instead of black (line).
I use for coloring my charcoal Pencils and made a black and white coloring. It is perfect for a glass look, because you can erase this better or made some details.
I work this time with shadow and highlights, it is a great practice.

This stamp is my focal point of this card so I made a simple card.

The sentiment is from Simon Say Stamps and I stamped with a grey ink from Altenew, which has the perfect tone for this coloring.  Looks like milled in the wood from this snow globe.

This stamp is from the current New Release, you find it here.

Wish you a great week.

Card Making Day Whimsy Stamps

World Cardmaking Day is a day dedicated to celebrating the art of handmade cards – whether made with construction paper and crayons or with more sophisticated supplies.

As we crafters can all agree, a store-bought card, while nice, just can’t replace the personal and thoughtful nature of one made by hand.

Today, the Whimsy Design Teams are honoring this craft with two hops –
one here and another on Instagram.

For each hop Whimsy is giving away a $25 gift certificate to the store.

To increase your chances of winning, be sure to leave a comment on each stop of the hop.
All comments must be left by midnight EST on Saturday, October 12th.
One winner will be randomly-chosen from each hop, and the winners will be announced on the Whimsy blog on Sunday, October 13th.

Ute Berger (you are here)
Here is my inspiration for this event. Hope you like this little cute penguin.
For more Halloween fun and prizes, be sure to check out the Whimsy Blog every night this month for the 3rd Annual 31 Nights of Halloween blog celebration!

Best Wishes and good luck,
Hugs Ute
