MFT Summer School Ombrè

Hi, at this time the Summer School by MFT is running and you can win some cool stuff. If you don't win, you will have fun to create something...

the theme today is:

Stephanie Klauck shows in her video two cards with an ombré effect. I think she shows also the Monochromatic. Both cards looks great. I use the ombré effect to made an underwater scene with the cutest otter I found in my stuff.

I used the stamp set "Otterly love you" from MFT, also Distress Oxide Ink (tumbled glass, salty ocean and peacock feathers), Masking tape for the otter and Zig Real Color brushes for color my animals.

How I made my card?

I cut out my paper 4x11Inch long and score it by 5.5 Inch. After I show, which size rectangle size I need for my underwater scene. Than I masking it with my tape (I use pink from Tesa, a soft tape, I saw it by my friend Nicole Vögeli, an amazing card crafter). I stamped my image and thought it will be great to have a second in the same area. So I spend my tape to stamp it in the corner. I closed the corner with my tape and made masking for my stamps. After I prepare the images for the Ombrè technique I started with my lighter color tumbled glasses, than say ocean and at last peacock feathers to made the ombré effect. Before I move the masking I splatter water on my card and use a kitchen tool to remove the rest. Now I color my otters with my Zig clean color brush.

I add the eye's, blush, hearts and glossy Accent, also the sentiment.

So my card is finished and ready to play with this wonderful challenge. 5 days with lot of fun are going to end and I loved what I made in this time.

Thanks so much for visit my blog and for your lovely comment.
